St Thérèse & Holy Family Apostolic Society
Are having a meeting in St Thérèse Presbytery after 10.00am Mass on Tuesday 13th May.
Ministers of the Eucharist ~
A Prayer Service for Ministers of the Eucharist will be held in Holy Family Church on Wednesday 21st May at 7.30pm. Any other Parishioners who may wish to attend are most welcome.
First Holy Communion ~
First Holy Communion will be celebrated in Holy Family Church at 11.00am on Sunday 18th May for pupils of Holy Family Primary School and Sunday 25th May for pupils of St Thérèse of Lisieux Primary school. It is expected that there will be a large attendance at this Mass on both occasions and therefore we would ask Parishioners who normally attend at this time to consider another Mass.
Cemetery Sunday - Milltown ~
Will be held on Sunday 11th May at 3.00pm sharp. There will be a Ceremony of Prayers for the Dead and a Blessing of Graves, led by His Lordship, the Bishop. All those attending are asked to be in position at the grave of their deceased by 2.45pm. A special effort to tidy up grave plots and dispose of rubbish appropriately is requested.
Legion of Mary – Church Door Collection
Bishop Walsh has granted permission for the Annual Church Door Collection in support of the Legion of Mary Hostels this weekend, 10th – 11th May. The Hostels rely on this source of income to continue and improve their service to the homeless and disadvantaged.
Certificate in Parish and Family Faith Development
Family Ministry Office is running a Course to help people develop family faith. This is a part – time course on Monday evenings for adult Catholics and is accredited by St Mary’s University College. Trocaire Collection ~
This year, the Annual Lenten Collection in aid of Trocaire in our Parish raised £11,666. Trocaire would like to thank Parishioners most sincerely for their generosity.
St Thérèse of Lisieux Folk Group ~
St Thérèse Folk Group is looking for new members. They are especially in need of singers and a guitarist. Anyone from the age of 8 to 88 is welcome. For more information, contact Claire after 12 noon any Sunday.
