2nd Thursday of every month at 7.00pm in the Pastoral Centre.
The membership of the Pastoral Council is representative of the whole Parish. The members work closely with the Parish Team to identify and address the spiritual, social and community needs of the Parish. To this end, the following are some of the issues on the agenda of the Council or Council sub-committees ~ Social Justice, Faith Development, Leadership, Bereavement Support, Developing World, Parish Census, Inter-Church Relations, Partnership in Community Transformation.The members of the Pastoral Council and the Parish Team spend a weekend annually in a Retreat Centre, usually in October, in order to review the progress of the previous year and to forward plan.

According to Canon Law: ‘In each Parish there is to be a Finance Committee to help the Parish Priest in the administration of the goods of the Parish’. (Canon 537)To this end, the members of the Finance Committee advise and help the Priests of the Parish in -
- drawing up an annual account of income and expenditure
- preparing the Parish account books for audit
- keeping an up-to-date inventory of all Parochial properties and equipment
- safeguarding the ownership of Parish properties and goods
- ensuring that all Parish properties are adequately insured, maintained and secured and that they comply with Health & Safety Legislation and the Disability Discrimination Act
- over seeing Parish fund raising projects.

Article 14 in the ‘Constitution On The Sacred Liturgy’ states: “All the faithful should be led to the full, conscious and active participation of Liturgical celebrations which the nature of the Liturgy itself requires and which, in virtue of their baptism, is the right and duty of the Christian people, ‘a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people’”.The living out of this statement is the work of the Lord in progress!The members of the Liturgy Committees meet to -
- plan and prepare for each Liturgical Season
- deepen their knowledge and understanding of Liturgy
- evaluate current practice and make suggestions for more enriching Liturgies
- plan how to make the environment of the 3 Churches more welcoming and inviting
- develop and promote the worship of God and the prayer life of the Parish community

Church Building Club Committee (100 Club)

Meeting
Every Monday evening at 7.30pm in Holy Family Presbytery In addition to the dedicated members of the Committee who ensure the smooth running of the ‘Weekly Draw’ and the ‘Big Draw’ in Week 50, there is an enthusiastic and tireless army of Promoters who do the foot soldering around the homes of Parishioners to collect the weekly contributions. Every year new Promoters have to be recruited – if you have time and energy why not become a Promoter? Contact the Parish Office for more details.

Communications Committee

Meeting
1st Wednesday of every month at 11.00a.m in Holy Family Presbytery.
During the coming months the Committee will review and evaluate the bulletin, website and FamilyTtimes with a view to enhancing communications with Parishioners.

Child Care Committee

Meetings
Approximately once a month at 7.30pm in St Thérèse Presbytery.
In line with Diocesan policies and procedures concerning the protection of children and those who work with them, a Child Care Committee has been established in Holy Family Parish. The role of the committee is to -
- make Parishioners aware of the existence of the Down & Connor Interim Child Protection Policy and Procedures.
- identify Parish activities which involve children and young people, including groups and individuals who use Parish premises and facilities for activities which are non-parochial.
- arrange for adults who are responsible for children’s activities to participate in the required child protection information session which is a necessary part of our on-going care and support for Parish volunteers.
- ensure that all staff and volunteers who work with children and young people, whether directly or indirectly, are vetted as required by current legislation.
- guide and assist activity groups in the recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers, ensuring that ‘best practice’ is implemented.
- ensure that activities advertised in the Bulletin which involve children only take place in ‘Parish premises’
