This is an opportunity to come together and explore how our Catholic faith encourages us to embody hope during challenging times, specifically in what the late Pope Francis described as a “polycrisis,” encompassing interconnected environmental, political, technological, social, and spiritual challenges. in initiating this Jubilee Year of Hope, Pope Francis invited us to “fan the flame of hope that has been given us, and help everyone to gain new strength and certainty by looking to the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and far-sighted vision.”

Our speakers will be Bishop Alan McGuckian SJ, Dr Austen Ivereigh and Julieann Moran and our chair will be Pat Coyle of Jesuit Communications.

Following the talks from our speakers, participants will engage in conversations in the Spirit to generate solid suggestions on how we can embody hope in our families and faith communities, at a time of such turmoil in our world.

The insights from the speakers are intended to inform and enlighten these discussions, fostering respectful and open dialogue and deep listening, modelling the synodal way espoused by our late Pope, Francis.
