‘Day of Prayer for Survivors of Abuse’ on 7 March 2025.

Pope Francis has invited Bishops around the world to establish a special day of prayer in the Church year to support the journey of human and spiritual recovery. This day is not only for victims and survivors who have been so severely injured, either inside or outside our Church, but also for the families and communities affected by grief for their loved ones.

Within Down and Connor, mass will be celebrated on FRIDAY 7th March 2025 in Saint Patrick’s Church, Donegall Street, Belfast at 1:00pm to pray for and remember victims and survivors of abuse within our Church. At this mass the Candle of Atonement will be lit. You are invited to attend this important Diocesan event.
