CONVERSATIONS ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE FROM A FAITH PERSPECTIVE
Almost every day we hear about the effects of climate change on our environment. Any number of politicians, experts and activists are speaking about it. Pope Francis has written extensively on climate change, and care for our common home. His two major documents are Laudato Si’ (2015) and Laudate Deum (2023).
If you’d like an introduction to the Pope’s teaching, but don’t have time to read the documents, then consider joining us over 3 Wednesday mornings in February. Nothing too heavy or long, but interesting and stimulating conversation.
14th Feb 10:00am – 11:45am: We will watch an inspiring and visually stunning film: “The Letter”, inspired by Laudato Si.
21st Feb 10:15am – 11:15am: Introduction to Laudate Deum, reading extracts.
28th Feb 10:15am – 11:15am: Continuation of reading Laudate Deum.
The meetings will be held in the committee room at the back of Holy Family church. If you would like to participate, please email the parish office at holyfamily@downandconnor.org
