Newington Day Centre

Newington Day Centre supports seventy-five older people to remain independent and continue to live in their own homes. It provides a range of care services and offers community events, tea dances and fun days when funding is available. The Centre has a Family Carers’ Support Service which arranges activities, therapies, health checks and social events.

Holy Family Youth Club 

Holy Family Youth Club provides, maintains and promotes facilities and activities of a social, spiritual, educational and recreational nature. Its overall aim is to improve the life of children and young people without distinction of gender or political, religious or other opinion. The Youth Club caters for children from the ages of 5 to 13 years and young people from the age of 14 to 25 years.

Holy Family Guide Unit

Holy Family Guide Unit have been operating for almost 50 years. It is a member of the Catholic Guides of Ireland. Their volunteer leaders provide a varied programme of activities for their four sections that includes weekly programmes over 3 evenings. Areas covered include art, crafts, cooking, health, environment and social issues including outdoor events and travel experiences.  The Girl Guide Unit caters for children and young people from ages 5 years to 19 years.  Volunteers generally help 1-2 hours weekly during school term time.

27th Belfast Holy Family Scout Unit

27th Scouts are a scouting unit that works with children from age 6 to 18 years across different sections and is a member of Scouting Ireland. The Unit is a community organisation and welcomes the young people from all backgrounds. They nurture and empower the young people through games, camping, cooking and by the teaching of life skills and other activities that encourage teamwork. It also presents children with the opportunity to get involved in challenges that they might not ordinarily have the chance to attempt.  Volunteers would help on one evening per week during school term.
