Week of Witness/Red Wednesday
Did you know, some 360 million Christians live in countries where they are persecuted for their faith? Each year the papal charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) Ireland – which supports some 6,000 communities in 140 countries – highlights their plight during the ‘Week of Witness’ (Nov. 17-24). Red Wednesday (Nov. 20) is the highlight of the week, and Catholics are urged to keep the suffering Church in their prayers in a special way. You can find out more on www.acnireland.org
